Collect the characters required for the registration

Before you make the number plate, collect the characters mentioned in the registration and make sure all the characters are of the same style.

Place a reflective sheet on the roller

Select one reflective sheet that is white and another yellow and place it on the number plate making roller. Ensure that the sheets are clean and free of dirt.

Peel the protective film from the sticky side of the Acrylic

There is a protective layer on the sticky end of the Acrylic (base on which the characters sit on). Remove this protective layer and make sure it all comes off.

Align the Acrylic with the reflective sheet

Face the sticky side of the Acrylic plate downwards and align it perfectly on the reflective sheet. Try doing this in a single motion, avoiding any crease to form on the plate.

Slide the combination through the roller

Once the Acrylic plate and the reflective sheet stick together, you need to slide it through the roller using the roller handle. This firmly attaches the acrylic plate with the reflective sheet.

Peel the Protective film

Once the combination of Acrylic and the reflective sheet comes out of the roller, you must peel the protective film from the front side of the plate.

Place the plate on the Plate Supplies Jig with the front of the plate facing upwards and start making the plate

Depending on the registration you are making, you need to identify the starting point on your plate. Fixed calculations are available which you need to follow and place the alignment bar at the starting point, which is on the left-hand side of the plate. Now peel the protective film from the sticky fixer of the 3D gel or 4D characters and place it the alignment bar. When placing the characters on the alignment bar, please note to press the bottom of the letters into the space first to ensure correct rotation.

Reposition the alignment bar on the right of the previous character and repeat the process for each digit required. For the larger spacing on the number plate, which is of 33mm, you need to place spacer bar on the left of the alignment bar.

Complete the full registration by following the above-mentioned steps. For a shiny effect, use general-purpose surface polish and rub the 3D gel letters with a cloth. While 4D letters come with a protective film on the front side, removing it gives a glossy look. It is advisable to remove this layer before delivery to the customer.
